Second Chance Ministries will be
holding its "Annual Fund Raising Dinner Banquet" on Friday, October
2,
2009 at 6:00 PM at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel located in
Camp Hill, PA.
Our Keynote Speaker this year is John Killian, known as "Sledgehammer". John was saved in a Rodney Howard-Brown meeting in Louisville, Kentucky in 1994. Prior to having this "mac truck" encounter, John spent 16 1/2 years addicted to alcohol and drugs. John lived a life in and out of prisons and mental institutions and jumped from job to job. He spent 8 years in the military after graduating high school. He has managed restaurants and driven 18 wheeler trucks. Due to his natural father's military career, John has traveled all over Central and South America. Due to his heavenly Father's calling, John has traveled and ministered in New York City, Los Angeles, New Foundland, Guyana, England, Scotland, Wales, India, Spain, France, Jamacia, North Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico and Canada.
You will want to invite others, youth and anyone that has needs to hear a message of hope. His testimony is inspiring, encouraging and incredible.
Former Governor George M. Leader (1955-1959) will be delighting us with his presence; speaking on the importance of our Walking Your Faith program. This program equips inmates to mentor other inmates within the institution while also preparing them for release back into society.
We are in need of 100 table sponsor. Would you please consider participating by sponsoring one or more regular tables at $150.00 per table. Or, you may be part of a team of people who choose to underwrite the cost of the dinner so that the entire offering can be used directly for ministry by sponsoring a Gold Table at $500.00. Each Gold Table sponsor will be seated up front and recognized in the program for the evening.
All tables will seat eight people. You have the option of accepting all 8 tickets or you may request a specific number of tickets for your table. We also ask you to commit relationally by filling your table of 8 with people who want to make society a safer place to live, one life at a time, through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thank you so very much for your contribution and support. In order that we can make all of the necessary arrangements for the banquet, we ask that you respond as soon as possible, no later than October 1, using the form enclosed. Table assignments will be determined by date received. Your contribution is tax-deductible and we will send you a letter of receipt.
If you and your spouse, family and friends would like to attend the banquet, please CALL OUR OFFICE NOW at (717) 921-8540 for tickets, or complete and return the form at the bottom of this letter indicating the number of tickets you would like. Please invite as many guests as you would like. Since this is an adult only banquet, we ask you not to bring your children. If the only way you can attend is by bringing your children, then we encourage you to bring them.
If you can not attend, would you consider sponsoring a regular table at $150.00 or a gold table at $500.00 to help make this night a success. Each Gold Table sponsor will be recognized in the program for the evening.
